Description
English: Omega Centauri is a globular cluster 15,800 ly away in the constellation of Centaurus - The largest globular cluster in the Milky Way with a diameter of 150 ly (10 million stars, 4 million solar masses) - Appears as large as the full Moon when seen from a rural area - Only 6,000 AU distance between stars in the core - So different from the other globular clusters that that it is thought to have an origin as the core remnant of a dwarf galaxy -
