Summary

[edit]
Description
English: The resting place of the separated #2 engine, pylon, and inlet cowling of Omega Aerial Refueling Services Flight 70 after it crashed on takeoff from Naval Base Ventura County, California. The arresting-gear cable for runway 21 stretches across most of the bottom of the frame; the inlet cowling from the #2 engine, with the fairing for the engine's pylon-mounted turbocompressor still attached, is visible just above the arresting-cable anchoring mechanism, while the engine itself is at upper right, with scrape marks on the runway leading up to its final resting location. Tyre marks from the aircraft's landing gear extend from bottom right to top middle right, showing the path taken by the aircraft as it departed the runway.
