Built in Lillesand in 1762 by Thomas Steenersen from Tveit. The house has been rebuilt several times, but the main shape has been preserved with the hipped roof.

Summary

[edit]
Description
Foran bygningen sto to trær.
English: The building has been a business farm since 1762 when Thomas Steenersen from Tveit settled here. The house has been rebuilt several times, but the main shape has been preserved with the hipped roof. It was owned by the Steenersen family until 1856, and then it was in the hands of others until it was sold at a forced auction to a bank in 1896. Lars Olsen bought the building in 1898, and it has been in the family's possession ever since. The store was a general store. At Lars Olsen's, long rows of wooden shoes hung under the ceiling, and under a glass lid on the counter lay fine folding knives. Lars Olsen was easy to deal with for little boys who wanted their savings to go a long way. On the second floor was the Ottersen Privatehotel for a period. Here there was a party and prize distribution after the trotting race at Langedalstjønna. In front of the building stood two trees. The building has provided premises for a cafeteria and doctor's office on the second floor. For a time they also had a general store in the building. The property has been developed considerably in recent years and contains several businesses. However, the main building has retained the main shape as it is known from older times.
