| Description |
English: Old village store and Wesleyan Methodist Church. The old village shop in Alvingham (note the new brickwork over the front door and window indicating the position of the awning). This shop was managed by the Trafford family who have lived in Alvingham since the middle of the 19th century. Next door is the Wesleyan Methodist chapel with the Great War memorial plaque (the middle of the two structures on the gable end). In the distance the crossroads, where a left turn will bring you to the 2 Anglican churches. |
