English: Old road direction signs, Cracoe, near to Cracoe, North Yorkshire, Great Britain.
These 'pre-Worboy' signs have perhaps survived because they were regarded as finger-post signs, like the one pointing to Hetton on the minor road. The post is topped by a circle with the parish name and grid-reference - see <a href="https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1351637">SD9759 : Finger post with old direction signs, Cracoe</a>.
