Description
English: Old Washington County Courthouse, County Road 34, St. Stephens, AL. FRONT VIEW. (Now listed on the w:National Register of Historic Places, it was completed in 1854. The courthouse was home to the probate office and record rooms for the county. It served as the courthouse for 53 years until the county seat was moved to Chatom in 1907. It was then used as a Masonic Lodge. Now a museum.)
