English: Old Race Course, Tunbridge Wells Common Operated on the common between the 1730s and 1851 when the locals petitioned for the course to shut due to the drunkenness and rowdiness of the spectators. After closure the line of the course was laid out as bridleways and walkways which are still evident today. |
