Commander, U.S. Pacific Command Adm. Harry Harris, U.S. Naval Academy (USNA) class of '78, presents Commander, U.S. Southern Command Adm. Kurt Tidd, also class of '78, with the Old Goat Award during a ceremony at the Pentagon. This award is given to the oldest Naval Academy graduate still on active duty. His initials and class year are engraved on the award along with those of former Deputy Chief of the Bureau of Medicine and Surgery Rear Admiral Alton L. Stock, MC, USN, Class of '72, who retired on March 28, 2014; former USNA Superintendent Vice Admiral Michael H. Miller, Class of '74, who retired on August 1, 2015; former Chief of Naval Operations Admiral Jonathan Greenert, Class of '75, who retired on Sept. 18, 2015; former Commander, U.S. Strategic Command Adm.
