| Description |
English: Old Field Boundary, Cwm Doethie Fach, Ceredigion. The earth and stone banking shown here is marked on 1:25000 maps as the boundary of land associated with the former settlement at Nant Iwan. Many of the old former ty unnos (one night house) sites show similar features, probably developed well after the settler's right to be there had been established. Despite this site's remoteness there were still at least two more even further up the valley (known as Doethie Fach, and Brobwll which used to be farmed by a Greek family called Ajax and was abandoned c1820 - so I am told). |
