Summary
[edit]DescriptionOld Carlisle coat of arms - geograph.org.uk - 1650407.jpg |
English: Relief of the former Carlisle coat of arms on the facade of the covered market in Fisher Stret, Carlisle, Cumbria. The design combines shields from two earlier coats of arms. It was used from the 1850's until the 1920's, when the College of Heralds declared it invalid. The College issued a new coat of arms in 1924, which remains in use today: see 1650401. |
