Description
English: Old Calton Burying Ground The burial ground was established on the south-western slope of the Calton Hill in 1718. The tomb on the left is that of Robert Burn, architect of the Nelson Monument on the nearby Hill, the obelisk in the centre is the Martyrs' Monument of 1845, and the tomb on the right is that of the Enlightenment philosopher, David Hume.
