[edit]DescriptionOkinawa's child soldiers.png |
日本語: Caption by U.S. Marine Corps "Okinawa's child soldiers--School-age children were forced to work as laborers for the Jap war machine prior to the battle for Okinawa. The Nippon yoke was thrown off when U.S. Marines landed. Typical of child-laborers conscripted by the Japs is this 14 yr. old boy who learns a few English words from big, friendly Marine PFC John F. Casinelli, 24, (918982) of 541 Sanders St. Phila. Pa. member of a Military Police unit."
