Oil Sands Discovery Centre in Fort McMurray is the second furthest attraction on the Historic Alberta annual pass from Calgary. I decided to take the Suncor Tour as well which also includes admission to the Oil Sands Discovery Centre and Marine Park. That tour makes the trip from Calgary very worthwhile. They show you a general overview of what goes on in extracting oil from oil sands and the various methods of extraction that's used throughout Alberta. Very interesting place to visit and learn about what goes on in our own backyard. Just like the coal mines of old, our modern mines and wells really define the current moment in history, because it touches so many lives and affects everyone in Alberta. Looking back at the EXIF of this image, it is actually SOOC. I remember it being fairly dark and I did bump up the ISO. As far as for my own purposes are concerned, the low light performance of the E-M5 is adequate, especially when coupled with the excellent in-body image stabilization. |
