DescriptionOhio's third statehouse - Columbus.jpg	English: In 1812, the state of Ohio named Columbus to be the new state capital. They began using this building, at the corner of High and State Streets as the statehouse in 1816. It stayed in use until the present Statehouse was finished in 1861.
