| Description |
There is mention of a church in 1288, probably connected to Worcester Cathedral. The present church dates from the fifteenth century and consists of a western tower, nave and transepts, chancel, and south porch. It is built in mostly a perpendicular style. The west tower dates from the seventeenth century, and is of three stages. There are three bells, but presently can only be chimed due to the condition of the frames. The nave dates from the fifteenth century, and the chancel and south porch were rebuilt circa 1860. The chancel has some reset fifteenth century fabric, and a stained-glass window with reset fifteenth century glass. The altar rail is from the seventeenth century, as are parts of the oak pews. The octagonal font is recut, from the fifteenth century and decorated with roses and fetterlocks. In 1850 the church was in a poor state, with split walls and broken windows.
