[edit]
Description
English: Oddfellows Hall sculpture, Forrest Road An array of symbols over the entrance to Oddfellows Hall, built in 1872. The Oddfellows were a Friendly Society who built the Hall as a financial investment. It comprised shops, a galleried hall seating 600 and a smaller hall seating 300. These could be rented for wedding receptions, dances and other social functions. There were also rooms for hire for committee meetings, public speakers and song recitals. The facade is adorned with elaborate sculptures including grotesque gargoyles.
