Join us at 1 PM Mountain Time at the Monte Reichert Ranch for a tour of the ranch and conservation practices Monte has incorporated to improve grazing distribution, soil health and livestock health! Monte was selected as the South Dakota winner to represent at the International SRM meeting in Orlando this past February! There will also be a rainfall simulator demonstration as well. Supper will be served following the tour. Please RSVP. RSVP by September 29 and/or direct questions to Tate Lantz (605) 390-8049 or tate.lantz@sd.usda.gov. DIRECTIONS: From Sturgis— go 37 miles east on HWY 34, turn south and travel 4 miles on New Underwood Road, turn east on Hay Draw Road for 2.5 miles, then south on Monte’s driveway 1.5 miles to the head-quarters From Rapid City— go 20 miles east on Interstate 90, turn north and travel 28 miles north on New Underwood Road, turn east on Hay Draw Road for 2.5 miles, then south on Monte’s driveway 1.5 miles to the headquarters Sponsors: SD Section of the Society for Range Management, Elk Creek Conservation District, SD Grassland Coalition, the Natural Resources Conservation Service and the Belle Fourche River Watershed Partnership. |
