Description
English: Board for the game of Octagons, invented by R. Wayne Schmittberger. As described in his 1992 book New Rules for Classic Games (pages 138-139) the rules are:
  1. First player makes the first move by shading a space (or spaces) red
  2. Second player then chooses whether to play Red or Blue
  3. On each move, the player can choose to either shade ONE half-octagonal space or TWO rotated square spaces
  4. The winner is the first to connect the two edges with their color
