SUR LES ACCOUCHEMENS. 175- rouverture. Ces Pefîàires font ici gravés de grandeur ordi-naire. Le PelTaire d eftplat, ou dumoins peu profond ; lesautres font épais, ôc profonds. lis ont deux doigts de largedun bord à lautre , ôc font plus pointus, que le Peffaireci, la profondeur eft égale à lépaifïeur. Il faut quils foienttous exactement polis , quils foient fans inégalité , & queleurs bords foient arrondis, afin quils nepuilfent bleifer.Lesplats, ôc ronds, conviennent aux filles 5 les creux aux fem-mes j par des raifons quon fent aflez. Louverture ronde,qui eft au milieu de chaque PelTaire , fert au pafTage des hu-meurs. Lorfquon a remis la Alatrice en place , on fait en-trer adroitement cesPeflaires dans le Vagin , en introduifantla pointe la première ^ ôc on les place de manière que leurouverture réponde à celle de la Matrice. Ceux qui connoif-fent la Figure duBafTm , verront bien que cesPeflaires ova-les, ôc triangulaires j doivent être placés dans le Vagi
