[edit]DescriptionObermillstatt Materl Alois Oberzaucher vlg Ranner 1897a.jpg |
English: Shrine for Alois Oberzaucher vlg Ranner am Lerchriegl Obermillstatt near Lake Millstatt (Millstätter See), district Spittal an der Drau in Carinthia / Austria / EU who is killed in an accident at this point in 1897. Inscription: "Here was a tree run accident of Alois Oberzaucher vulgo Ranner 12 Oktober, 1897. [Remainder illegible]. "The Run of trees available for the transport of logs by hand or animal traction into the valley. Alois was from a tree that was intended for a fountain killed. He was a son of the commonly known as Herzog, who had married to Ranner farmer. The Ranner was in 1900 the largest farmer in Obermillstatt. The farm stood where now stands the house Obermillstätter community. The farm belonged to the most beautiful areas south of the town and the largest part of the Lerchriegls, a pasture on the Millstätter Alpe Millstaetter. The overgrown pasture, where the shrine is, the locals call "Anderlebabrisches". |
