Summary
[edit]DescriptionOak Ridge Reservation.jpg |
English: Hidden in the Ridge and Valley Province of Tennessee, but with easy access to transportation, Oak Ridge was chosen as one of the original sites for the Manhattan Project. The Oak Ridge Reservation is a large area (almost 35,000 acres) of mostly eastern deciduous forest. The large building sites can be seen here, as well as the city of Oak Ridge in the northern corner of the reservation. The Clinch River borders about half of the Reservation.
