Summary

[edit]
Description

Nymphes myrmeleonoides, Leach, 1814, larvae recently emerged from eggs laid in characteristic U-shape, Aranda, ACT, 9 February 2011

Identification based on close resemblance to drawing of Nymphidae larvae in Insects of Australia (in distinction from other neuropteran larvae illustrated), and the statement in that work that the U-shaped egg cluster is distinctive of the species.
