Description
Svenska: Nya Varvets hamnområde med sin 300-åriga byggnadshistoria sedd från Stora Billingen. I bildens mitt finns cellfängelsebyggnaden från 1873. Kasernlängorna från 1820-talet ramar in hamnområdet. I högerkant syns det gamla vakthuset, ursprungligen byggt 1827 som marketenteri. i bakgrunden till vänster syns de småspröjsade fönstren till den sentida matsalsbyggnaden, byggd 1908-1911, idag restaurang.
English: Former naval base Nya Varvet in Gothenburg, Sweden, with 300 years of building developement, seen from the hill Stora Billingen. In the center is the former prisonbuilding from 1873, and military barracks from around 1820 enclosing the harbour area.
