Description
Nederlands: Nunspeet Angus Mcintyre A. Op 28 februari 1945 vloog Angus McIntyre als piloot van een Tempest, de NV 680 van het 222th Squadron, over Nederland en bestookte de spoorlijn bij Nunspeet. Zijn vliegtuig werd geraakt door de Duitse luchtafweer en stortte neer bij Nunspeet op de Kienschulpenweg. De piloot kwam daarbij om het leven.
English: Angus McIntyre was commissioned as a Pilot Officer in the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve on the 13th of May 1942 and was promoted to Flying Officer on the 13th of May 1943. He was promoted to Flight Lieutenant on the 18th of November 1944. At the time of his death he was with 222 Squadron based at RAF Predannack in Cornwall before the squadron moved to France in February 1945. On the 28th of February 1945 he was flying Tempest NV680 on an armed reconnaissance over Holland. His squadron had just attacked the railway at Nunspeet when his aircraft was hit by flak to the north east of Nijmegen and crashed at 2.30pm.
