Stained glass window, featuring The Raising of Jairus' daughter (Talitha cumi), in St Mary's Church, in Nun Monkton, North Yorkshire, England. It is dedicated to Maria Crawhill (died 1857, aged 20). This is a 12th or 13th-century abbey church, which was renovated in 1873 after designs by architect John Wilson Walton. The pulpit and the reredos (and possibly some other sculptural work) were carved by Robert Beall of Newcastle, in 1873. |
