Description
Italiano: Numero di casi denunciati di malattie infettive - Italia (1887 - 2009, dati ISTAT e vari Enti e Ministeri, Istituto Superiore di Sanità per i casi di Vaiolo);

Sono presenti i dati dei casi denunciati delle seguenti malattie: Malaria, Morbillo, Scarlattina, Febbre tifoide, Epatite virale, Pertosse, Varicella, Parotite epidemica, Vaiolo, Poliomielite.

SI fa notare che: 1) La Poliomielite era identificabile solo attraverso degli specifici sintomi che occorrevano anche solo con una frequenza di appena l'1-2% dei casi di contagio, pertanto il numero di casi veri è da intendersi enormemente maggiore; 2) I dati del Vaiolo provengono dall'Istituto Superiore di Sanità; 3) Il crollo dei casi di Malaria nella seconda metà degli anni '30 è dovuto alla bonifica delle paludi in tutta la penisola italiana, venendo completata subito dopo la fine della seconda guerra mondiale anche in Sardegna mediante l'uso del DDT da parte di militari americani; 4) Il crollo dei casi di Vaiolo già a inizio grafico è dovuto all'introduzione massiccia in quegli anni del vaccino di massa, diventato obbligatorio dal 1892; 5) Alcune malattie statisticamente irrilevanti sono state omesse dal grafico per evitarne una maggiore complessità e difficoltà interpretativa. Per vedere anche i casi di AIDS, Brucellosi, Leishmaniosi, Meningite, Tetano, etc., fare riferimento alle serie storiche dell'ISTAT (seriestoriche.istat.it);
