English: Illustration of a nuclear fusion process with two protons (proton-proton chain reaction). Hereby one deuterium nucleus results, consisting of a proton and a neutron. Before fusion, the proton decays in a positron (e+), a electron neutrino and a neutron.
Deutsch: Schema einer Kernfusion aus zwei Protonen. Wenn zwei Protonen aufeinander treffen, zerfällt eines davon in ein Neutron, ein Positron und ein Neutrino; das Neutron vereinigt sich mit dem anderen Proton zu Deuterium (2H). |
