| Description |
English: Nowy Swiat 47, Warsaw, Poland. Joseph Conrad lived here with his parents in 1861. Karol Szymanowski lived and composed here in 1924-29. Fryderyk Chopin's sister, Izabella, owned this house with her husband, Feliks Antoni Barcinski. It was in this home in 1844 that Chopin's father, Mikołaj Chopin, died. The Barcinski's sold the home in 1850. |
