Молящиеся новгородцы

Новгородский гос. историко-архитектурный и художест­венный музей-заповедник, Новгород, Россия

Из Николо-Кочановской церкви в Новгороде. Сохранность хорошая. Незначительные потертости красочного слоя. Вставки нового левкаса в нижних углах доски. Посередине идет надпись полууставом: Молятся рабы Божии Григорей, Марья, Иаков, Стефан, Евсей, Тимофей, Олфим и с чады Спаса и пречистой Богородицы о гресех своих. На нижнем поле находилась поздняя надпись полууставом: В лето 6975 (1467) индикта 15 повелением раба Божия Антипа Кузьмина на поклонение православным. При расчистке иконы под этой надписью были открыты остатки первоначальной, старой: ... индикта 15 пове[ле]н[ием] раба Б[ожия] Анти[па] Куз[мина] поклонение хрестианам. В 1849 году Г. Д. Филимонов имел возможность прочесть надпись на нижнем поле иконы еще до ее записи, когда были видны остатки первоначальной даты, ныне утраченной. Индикт, считая год сентябрьским, совпадает с расшифрованной Г. Д. Филимоновым датой (1467 год), которую восстанавливали самым произвольным образом — и как 1487 год (архимандрит Макарий и Ф. И. Буслаев), и как 1475 или 1493 (Н. П. Кондаков). В новгородских летописях упоминаются в 70-х годах XV века бояре Кузьмины: в 1476 году при встрече Ивана III присутствовали Василий, Иван и Тимофей Кузьмины. Вероятно, из этой же семьи вышел заказчик иконы — Антип Кузьмин.
