ESTED AEtDb (niGAOO, ILL ORNAMENTAL CLIMBING PLANTS, EVERYONE who is the fortunate possessor of a few feet of ground will gladly devote some space to the cultiva- tion of the graceful and easy-growing climbers. They thrive and flower everywhere, let it be in our crowded smoky cities, where light and sunshine is limited to a few hours daily, and where most of the hardy Shrubs refuse to take hold, or in situations more congenial. CLiEJViATIS. The Clematis, the Queen of the Climbers, is one of the best known and most recognized plants in cultivation. We import large quantities of Clematis every season, getting plants of extra size only, that will bloom with full vigor the first season. Plant any time from April to June. Height, 8 to 15 ft. Owing to the extraordinary size these plants can be sent by Express only, and prices do not include prepayment. JACKMANII. Flowers July to October. Un- doubtedly the most appreciated variety of Clem- atis. The dark purple flowers are produced in such an abundance as to perfectly hide the foli- age, and the whole plant, when in full bloom, looks like a mass of waving blue. Each, 75c; per doz., $7.50. HENRYII. Flowers July to October. The lead- ing white variety, of l'obust habit, a free bloom- er, producing large flowers of a beautiful creamy white. Each. 75c; per doz., $7.50. MISS BATEMAN. White, chocolate, red an- thers. Summer and autumn bloomers, flowering in profuse masses. Extra strong plants. Each, 75c; per doz., $7.50. SIEBOLDII. Lavender colored; very fine. Each, 75c; per doz., $7.50. LANUGINOSA CANDIDA. Flowers from July to October. White, slightly lilac-tinted; flowers of extraordinary size. Each, 75c; per doz., $7.50. STANDISHII. Light mauve purple. Early spring bloomer, flowering from May until June. Extra strong plants. Each, 75c; per doz., $7.50. One each of above six varieties for $3.75, not prepaid. flJVIPEIiOPSIS VEITCJ4II. Boston Ivy. Unexcelled as a hardy climbing vine for cov- ering walls; it clings firmly to the smoothest sur- face, and, being of luxuriant growth, covers it with a perfect mass of beautiful green foliage. Small plants, 15c each; $1.50 per dozen, postpaid; strong plants, 25c each, not prepaid. flJVIPELiOPSIS QUlflQUflEFOLklfl. Virginia Creeper. Perfectly hardy climber, of rapid growth. Ea. 20c. AI^ISTOLiOCJim sipho. Dutchman s Pipe. A rapid grower, with large heart-shaped leaves and brownish flowers, which resemble in shape a miniature pipe. Each, 35c. WISTERIA. Very popular, hardy, rapidly growing to a height of 50 feet or more; flowers in early spring, and when in bloom is truly magnificent. Each, 50c. fiOflEYSUCKkES. Well-known climbers, blooming at intervals through the summer and autumn, and retaining the foliage late in the winter. Small plants, 15c each, postpaid; large plants, 25c each, not prepaid.
