Description
English: Church Notre-Dame-des-Laves in Piton Sainte-Rose, Réunion Island. Piton Sainte-Rose was devastated by a lava flow from the Piton de la Fournaise, the active volcano of the island. The village church was partly invaded by the lava flow but not destroyed.
Deutsch: Die Kirche Notre-Dame-des-Laves in der Gemeinde Sainte-Rose auf Réunion. Im April 1977 wurde der Ortsteil Piton Sainte-Rose bei einem Ausbruch des benachbarten Vulkans Piton de la Fournaise von einem Lavastrom teilweise verschüttet, die Kirche, früher Sainte-Rose, überstand den Ausbruch unbeschadet heißt seither Notre-Dame-des-Laves.
