Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Not all bluebells are blue In the grounds of Blickling Hall blue, white and pink bluebells can be observed growing side by side. Bluebells, often associated with ancient woodlands, flower in April and May before the surrounding trees come out in full leaf. In the United Kingdom the native Common Bluebell Hyacinthoides non-scripta is a protected species (landowners are prohibited from removing bluebells on their land for sale, and it is a criminal offence to remove the bulbs of wild bluebells), but the invasive cultivated hybrid Hyacinthoides × massartiana here is not protected.
