| Description |
c/n B3-04-75 Built 1976 and served at various times with 12, 15, 16 and 208 squadrons, as well as 237 Operational Conversion Unit (237OCU). In 1991 she was painted ‘desert pink’ and deployed as part of Operation Granby, now known as the First Gulf War. Along with XW547 she flew the first Buccaneer mission of the war and is believed to have flown the most Buccaneer operations during the operation. She was Struck off Charge in October 1994 and broken up, with the nose section being saved. Owned by Robert Phipps, she wears 12 squadron markings and arrived at Newark in October 2018 from her previous home at Coventry. Newark Air Museum Winthorpe, Nottinghamshire, UK 7th August 2020 |
