Summary

[edit]
Description
English: No's 1 & 2 Platforms - Great Victoria Street station - 1973
Looking from the end of Platform 2 towards Platform 1, which is to the right beyond the Boyne Bridge. Also on right are three CIE 4-wheel vans, once common throughout the Irish railway network and used for luggage and parcels. Introduced in the 1950s, these vans disappeared in the late 1970s. One seems badly damaged and information from Charles Friel (via Martin Baumann) suggests this was a victim of the 1972 attack on the station. An MPD set can be seen in Platform 1.
