English: Detail on the uniform for officers (leaders) in the Female/Women's Labour Service (Norwegian: Den kvinnelige arbeidstjenesten, K.A.T.) in German-occupied Norway during World War II, exhibited at the Lofoten War Memorial Museum:

  • NS Labour Service (Norwegian:NS Arbeidstjeneste), abbreviated as AT, was a labour service in German-occupied Norway during the Second World War where young men were required to perform physical labour for the common good. In the summer of 1940, a voluntary labour service was established under the auspices of the Administrative Council in Norway. The service was later taken over by Nasjonal Samling (NS, the Norwegian Nazi party), and from 1941, it became mandatory for young men of military age. The Female Labour Service assisted in agriculture. From 1943, labour service for women also became mandatory.
The Lofoten War Memorial Museum (Norwegian: Lofoten Krigsminnemuseum) in Svolvær, Norway presents the country's largest exhibition of military uniforms and small items from the German occupation of Norway 1940–1945, as well as from other events before and during the war.

  • NS Arbeidstjeneste (Nasjonal Samlings Arbeidstjeneste), også kalt Norges Arbeidstjeneste, forkortet AT, eller bare Arbeidstjenesten, var en samfunnstjeneste under andre verdenskrig i Norge der unge menn skulle utføre kroppsarbeid i allmennhetens tjeneste. Sommeren 1940 ble det opprettet en frivillig arbeidsteneste i regi av Administrasjonsrådet. Tjenesten ble siden overtatt av NS, og fra 1941 gjort obligatorisk for unge menn i vernepliktig alder. Kvinnelig Arbeidstjeneste hjalp til i jordbruket. Fra 1943 ble også arbeidstjeneste for kvinner obligatorisk.
Krigsminnemuseet i Svolvær viser Norges største utstilling av militære uniformer og småting fra den tyske okkupasjonen av Norge 1940–1945 og fra andre hendelser før og under krigen.
