Summary
[edit]DescriptionNorton Bridge 2nd railway station (site), Staffordshire (geograph 3382886).jpg |
English: Norton Bridge 2nd railway station (site), Staffordshire Opened in 1876 by the London & North Western Railway on the line from Stafford to Crewe, this station replaced an 1837 one, some 300m to the north. In turn, this 2nd station was effectively closed to passengers in 2004 when the only means of access, the footbridge, was removed. A handful of buses per day served the station when this image was taken. View east from the site of the former small station building, looking at the remaining platform. |
