English: Northwest face of Viscount Combermere's Statue Plinth. The Northwest face of the plinth supporting the bronze statue of Sir Stapleton Cotton, Viscount Combermere. The inscription records some of the battles in which he was involved. The statue is directly opposite the entrance to Chester Castle. Also see 526846. |
