Built in 1890, the brick, Second Empire, corner home (1400 21st Street, N.W.) is designated as a contributing property to the Dupont Circle Historic District, listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978. Previous occupants of 1400 21st Street, N.W., include: Federico Alfonso Pezet, the first Peruvian ambassador to the U.S.; Willfred W. Lufkin, a U.S. Representative from Massachusetts; Willard D. Vandiver, a U.S. Representative from Missouri; and John W. Langley, a U.S. Representative from Kentucky. |
