| Description |
Outside the fine Co-opearative department store, UTN508Y, 3508 of Northern General, later Go Ahead Northern (now Go North East) , picks up passengers en route for Newcastle . The vehicle was a 15 year old Metrobus at the time of the photograph. SInce then, Arriva became responsible for the shortened 723 (at the time of the photo Darlington-Newcastle). In 2008, the vestigial X23 of Go North East from Durham to Newcastle, and branded the Angel disappeared into the X21. Also in Summer 2008, the residual 723 Darlington-Durham route of Arriva Durham Country was renumbered 7/7A. Goodbye 23 (a prime number). |
