Description

Piper Darren MacRae stands precariously atop "Insight", one of the "3 Virtues" statues, at the opening ceremony/dedication of the "3 Virtues" statues in Church Street, Inverness.

This was the first of two solo spots Darren was called upon to do during the event, at which the Band had a corps of 6 pipers playing to open and close the ceremony.

Precarious is the word - there is a fair wind, there are spotlinghts shining down from the buildings on either side, and he is trying to defeat gravity and stay in one place on the angled and slippy polished slate of the statue 'roof'.
