Summary

[edit]
Description
English: In the early days of Northern, they had several attempts at getting the livery right. They included angular “Starsky and Hutch” style stripes and this one is violet on white. They did do an inverse white on violet but neither lasted long as the white quickly became stained with rust from the cast iron brake blocks. Eventually they settled on lilac and blue. On the 26th January 2005, ex works 156425 stands at Buxton ready to work the evening service back to Salford Crescent after which it went empty to Newton Heath.
