Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Renovation of 1639 and 1641 R Street NW (northeast corner of 17th and R) in the Dupont Circle neighborhood of Washington, D.C. The buildings are two of five on the corner that were rowhouses built in 1896 and designed by B. Stanley Simmons. The two buildings housed Cobalt, a gay bar that operated for 18 years until its closing in 2019. The properties are being renovated into residential units.
