Summary
[edit]DescriptionNorth face of Swiss mountain Lyskamm (4.532 m), with Grenzgletscher in front, black and white photograph.jpg |
English: Taken from Gornergrat: A black and white photograph of the north face of the Swiss mountain Lyskamm (4.532 m) with the glacier Grenzgletscher left in front. The very steep mountain wall (north face) of the Lyskamm facing left and towards the viewer has a height of more than 1.000 m above the glacier below. The snow fields in the lower right section of the wall, looking as if their lower parts have broken off resulting in sharp edges, have individual heights at the visible edges of roughly about 50 meters, the value being derived by a comparison with the known overall height of the wall. |
