It is amazing to see two such features side by side. Some call this formation 'The Spectacles' for good reason.

While we were there, I called them 'arches.' I've since noted that the park brochure calls them 'windows.' What's the difference? I gave a quote in the previous pictures that addressed this question, but there is still a lot of confusion. Some say the 'arches' is the common name for such openings, and that 'windows' is a geologist's term. It's best not to worry too much about it but just to enjoy the amazing work of Mother Nature. To get a sense of how large these openings are, see the next picture.
