Summary
[edit]DescriptionNorth Street, Belfast (part) - geograph.org.uk - 1344560.jpg |
English: North Street, Belfast (part). This part of North Street 761794 fared badly during the "Troubles", partly with the general decline of central Belfast and partly (I'd guess) because of its proximity to potential "flashpoints". Now with the limbo period awaiting the extension to the Castle Court 973416 described in 488681 it has an air of something between neglect and death throes. There are three buildings here at the Peter's Hill end. Law's Court 1343870 is just above the passing car on the right. Some might remember features of the street such as McMurray's, Christies, the wee Woolies and the Elephant all of which have passed into history. To see some of the detail on the buildings continue to 1344589. |
