DescriptionNorth London Business Park.jpg |
www.northlondonbusinesspark.com/ According to the 2006 planning brief the site was founded in the 1920s by Standard Telephone and Cable as New Southgate Works. Northern Telecom (Nortel) took over the site in 1989 and started constructing an 'Optical Centre for Excellence' (now Building 3) in 2000. In 2002 Nortel left. The only tenant is currently Barnet Council who have buildings 2 and 4. History site: stcnsg.org.uk/ A brochure on the history site says that the International Western Electric Company bought the site in 1922. It looks like all the buildings currently on the site were built by Nortel. stcnsg.org.uk/photos/site21c.htm |
