English: North Gare Breakwater Northeast backing north 5 to 7. Moderate or rough. Occasional rain. moderate or good.
The North Gare Breakwater is approximately half a mile long and was constructed between 1882 and 1891 at a cost of £65,531. The breakwater is showing signs of deterioration from the effects of the North Sea gales, the last fifty metres or so having been fenced off to the public. |
