The Soldiers met the family while patrolling the area earlier in the week supporting local law enforcement officers. They learned that the Scottâs daughter had her birthday right after the historic floods in the area began. They were able, with the help of local merchants, the USO of NC and North Carolina Civil Air Patrol to provide cake and gifts and sang her happy birthday.
