Summary
[edit]DescriptionNorth Bay Railway at Scalby, Scarborough - geograph.org.uk - 785335.jpg |
English: North Bay Railway at Scalby, Scarborough. Little boys of all ages love a miniature railway, and Scarborough has a fine example dating back to the 1920s, which runs from Peasholm Park to Scalby. The engines are modelled on the popular LNER Pacifics. When I revisited Scarborough in 1995 after an interval of fifty years, I expected it would all have disappeared, but it was still there, and I enjoyed it just as much at the age of 60 as I had at the age of 10! And the fish and chips in Scarborough were as good as ever. |
