This is a north-bound, Norfolk Southern freight train at Marion, Ohio in the afternoon of 9 May 2015. The train was headed by three engines: Norfolk Southern Railway # 2596, Union Pacific Railroad # 4261, and Norfolk Southern Railway # 7256.

The lead unit, Norfolk Southern # 2596, is a General Motors Electro-Motive Division SD70M diesel locomotive. It was built in April 2003.

The second unit, Union Pacific # 4261, is a General Motors Electro-Motive Division SD40-2. It was built in August 1978.

The third unit, Norfolk Southern # 7256, is a General Motors Electro-Motive Division SD9043MAC. It has a Union Pacific paintjob, minus the stenciling, but "NS" appears below the cab's roster number. The unit was built in June 1996 and saw service as Union Pacific Railroad # 8027 and # 3499 before being acquired by Norfolk Southern in September 2014.
